Car Festival – Rath Yatra

One of the major festivals of Odisha, Rath Yatra, or the Car Festival or the Chariot Festival, draws devotees from all across the globe to celebrate the glory of Lord Jagannath, in the holy Land of Puri. The three chariots of Jagannath, Balabhadra and Subhdra are newly constructed every year. The festival commemorates Jagannath's annual visit to Gundicha Temple via Mausi Maa Temple.

International Sand Art Festival

A remarkable cultural event held at the Chandrabhaga Beach, near Konark, this fest is a celebration of spectacular display of sand art and artists, from all across India, and many other countries. Inaugurated in 2015, the Festival has been garnering attention and witnessing thousands of people each year. Some best artists from Mexico, Spain, France, Singapore, Norway & USA also form a part of the event. Visitors will be enthralled to sight the beauty and themes created from the sand, each one being unique and incredible.

Konark Dance Festival

The Konark Dance & Music Festival, celebrated in the majestic land of Konark, with the Sun Temple being the backdrop, is an annual 5-day festival, celebrating dance, music & art. Classical performers from all across the country come here and display their exquisite skills, as well as promote this age-old monument. It’s marvellous to witness the performances.

Mukteswar Dance Festival

Celebrating the spectacular Odissi Dance, and its unrivalled charisma, this annual 3-day dance festival is organized by the Department of Tourism, in the open-air auditorium premises of the medieval Mukteswar Temple. It is an ideal platform for the Odissi Classical Dance, with dancers mesmerizing the audience with their vibrant attires and graceful moves.

Rajarani Music Festival

Another annual festival held at the Rajarani temple complex, this festival with its evening of concerts, musical soiree features artistes from across the country, beautiful decorations, and relaxing environment is one-of-its-kind. Get to see the classical music legends, vocalists and instrumentalists presenting the best of their times.

Dhauli Kalinga Mahotsav

Organized since 2003 in association with Orissa Dance Academy, in the serene and scenic foothills of Dhauli, this annual Mahotsav is celebrated each year to keep the ancient heritage & culture alive, inspire young generations, promote Dhauli’s rich history and create an enthralling atmosphere of enchanting artistic performances.

Puri Beach Festival

Among the various festivals conducted in Odisha, the Puri Beach Festival particularly stands out for presenting and showcasing the art, crafts, culture, cuisine and tourism potential of the state on a single platform. It’s all about fun, shopping, and indulging in local delicacies in this annual festival, held across the vast and gorgeous coastline of Puri.
