Satapada

Literally meaning group of seven villages, Satapada is located around 50 kms from Puri, and is home to the Irrawaddy dolphin. A traveller’s paradise, this is an excellent place to enjoy nature, go boating and even to spot rare, exotic birds.

Barkul

With a serene atmosphere and undisturbed expanse of blue water, with evergreen rolling hills on the side, Barkul must be visited and seen to be believed. Also, popular for boating and excursion activities.

Located on the island in Chilika Lake, this Temple is considered to be the abode of the Goddess Kalijai, and is highly revered by the local populace, surrounded by various folklores and legends.

Honeymoon Island

A unique and one of the chief islands of Chilika situated along with Rambha Bay near Sankuda Island, this Island doesn’t see much crowd, hence adored by couples and friends.

Mangalajodi

The Bird Paradise of Odisha, Mangalajodi is an olden village located in Khordha district of Odisha at the northern edge of Chilika Lake. Bird lovers will certainly love this place, which attracts a substantial proportion of migratory birds in its serene wetlands.

Nalabana Island/Bird Sanctuary

A must visit for bird lovers, the Nalbana Bird Sanctuary or Nalbana Island was declared a bird sanctuary under the Wildlife Protection Act in 1972, where one can witness thousands of birds descending during the migratory season.

Breakfast Island

Another popular tourist attraction, this Island is a small and attractive structure in the middle of the Chilika lake, and can be accessed by boat only. It is believed that King of Ganjam used to visit this place for his breakfast

Birds Island

Situated in Chilka estuary near the Rambha area, this is a must-visit place during the winter season, when the place becomes a paradise of native as well as migratory birds.

Rajhans Island

A hidden paradise in Chilika, this is one of the few unspoiled islands which is also a geographic wonderland, owing to its special feature of being bordered on one side by a lagoon and on the other by the ocean.
